ONCE

ONCE really is such a sweet musical movie I ever watch! The simple idea makes it crunchy yet you still can catch the means it is intended to brought. Well, in my opinion it is has some means.

Bit freak when you take a listen to the dialogue with a bunch of “fuck” and “fucker” and “sucker” and lotza more to be laugh to hear. It doesn’t sound rude anyhow. Guess that’s just how people communicate haha

I cant catch the opening of the movie where the guy just singing and got pickpocketed by some geeks who turns out to be his friend and not even shown up in other scene of the movie. I don’t get the scene. Was it meant to tell us something? Dunno.

The story begin in the night. Where the guy just sing alone in the silent of the night without even realizing that someone watching over him. Yes, the girl it is. The annoying one with lots of annoying question I don’t think I would even ask to someone I barely known *like where’s the girl the guy wrote the song for* and leads to “hoover-appointments” for the next day.

Imagine how a simple words can change your life. Happens here.

There’s no such sweet romance or something in this movie, so please don’t expect one. It just flows as is should be between a guy and a girl that accidentally united by the universe will. And until the end, you don’t even get the chance to know the name of the guy or the girl! That’s another great thing about this movie. Did it ever happen in your life? Meeting someone who might be the love of your life just to find out that there’s no such thing cause you’ve got another story to be told, but the glimpse will always be the time of your life?

Just once.

And of course, as a musical drama, the soundtrack is extremely great! You gotta love it even when you haven’t see the movie, and you’ll love it even even even more after you see it! My favorite scene was when the guy and the girl for the first time played a song together and realizing something, that they got it. The chemistry! And Falling Slowly bring out the romantic ambiance surprisingly! If you watch it with your lover, guess this is the right moment to kiss :p as I did! Hehehe

Another great song comes from this ONCE is when the girl made up a lyrics for a song the guy’s created and it turns out to be so great romantic! If You Want Me will made you feel like you want to be satisfied! And geez I love the fashion goes with Marketa Irglova! Cool! For sure! You’ll never gonna find someone as sweet as her with stuffs she got here in Indonesia. And yes, Glen Hansard is not so gorgeous at all but it doesn’t make this movie less attracting and satisfying.

Again, just to remind you that there are something that just come into your life, become the time of your life, one of it best part, but not something so worth to be chased for, and will remain a treasure in you forever. Don’t ruin it.
